nice fish matt's been on em
Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Very cool pics.Just a question, how come hubbard doesn't have stripers anymore. Twak is only 30 to 40 min away.Is it the size of lake or depth? Just curious,I"ve seen pics and mounts from Hubbard that show they were there! Info Please..
10 lb. hybrid, 54 lb. cat on 3/4 ounce slab-- Hubbard

I think that the TPWD did stock stripers in Hubbard many years ago. I do not think the lake is deep enough to promote stripers.
That is a nice cooler of fish, job well done Matt.

In the 80's we caught 15 lbers'like you catch 5 lbers now .bigger the bait bigger the fish.in fact that is when the record was caught.Hubbard was the best lake going except for tex. Now that the summer bite is over I hope Twak has another good fall and winter.

Thanks Brad!
Hubbard still has some good hybrid in it, they are just scattered and stuck in the Summer rut....You can catch a few keepers a day if yo8 are willing to invest the time in them. Try using large gizzard shad and perch out in the deep waters near the dam. Bites will be few, but they will be good keepers. Thats about the only way I know to put them in the boat this time of year on Hubbard.

There are some really deep shallow spots down on the Northern end of the Southern part of the lake.
