Monsters right there, very nice slabs!

It was definietly tough for us rookies, I have fished this lake for many years and never had this much trouble catching legal fish, thats the the way the ball bounces. I had a great time friday nite and always fun to compete. I will give it another shot next time around. I new this lake would have a good average, congrats to the smarter fisherpeople, I hope it stays on the schedule for next year. There is some hogs in that lake, the weight proves it.

The fishing was definitely tough. Luckily though, Saturday turned out to be much better for us than Friday was.

We caught our fish on docks, b/p's, and trees. One dock was really good to us giving up 6 nice black crappies.

Nice slabs Belton Banger! As always, it was good visiting with everyone Friday night and eating Dooley's cooking. That hit the spot after a rough day on the water.

Many thanks to the Board for another very well run tournament. Paul does not get enough props for all the work he puts in on these tourneys...and on top of that...has to quit fishing early in order to get back to start weighing fish.

Awesome job guys. I am p[lanning on going tto fork this weekend to try to find some crappie. What depth of water were most of the fish being caught.

We caught all ours in 20-22ft of water in the timber. One particular cove, hmmmm cant seemt to remember the name of it..lol Dont be scared to take minnows either.

We started out the day catching fish on cedar trees. The trees were in 20-26' of water, and we were catching them 15' down. Then we moved on and caught fish on other timber in 20' of water, and these fish were about 17' down. We ended the day catching a lot of fish on docks in 8-16' of water.

Actually, 4 of the 7 fish we weighed in (which was the 5th place overall catch) came off one dock...pretty black crappie.

We fished bridges for a little bit, but only small fish on Saturday, so we left that right quick.

Wes, I told Freddie I had soo much grease on my door that the coons kept me up half the night licking it. We still had plenty more fish to fry, but the cook "had the program"!!!! We cooked steaks the night before! This really makes the whole tourney thing so enjoyable!! Good to see all!!!

Also....sorry Jimmy, Jaydon, etc. didn't make this one!! Next time!!
