Well I have spent most of the week bank and dock fishing parts of J.P.L. I must say I am not havin too much luck. Started out on Tuesday night at the Barge it was real slow. I caught a small bass some bream and no crappie. Fished from 4:30 till 10:30 and only saw a total of two crappie caught at all . Both went under 9" Wednesday eve in a south end creek I fished a jig and bobber 18-24 " deep. I caught 4 in 2 hours 1 keeper but she was a big slabber going 14.25" . Thursday I returned to the south end creek with some minnows in tow. In 3.5 hours I caught 12 with 2 keepers but they were only 10.25" and 10.5" respectively. I just bought Ernests video on Tuesday so I hope to get that very soon. Also bought a 14' boat and hope to get her on the water in two weeks, anybody got some evening boating suggestions for Joe Pool crappie??? Keep your hook wet!

HEY, THATS A REAL GOOD MONTH THERE AT JOE POOL. AND KEEPERS.... WAY TO GO... JUST KIDDIN YA. I KNOW THERES KEEPER CRAPPIE IN JOE POOL. EVERY BODY TELLS ME SO. I EVEN SEEN ONE ONCE. BUT PEOPLE SAY THEY HAVE SEEN PEOPLE JUST WEAR THEM OUT THERE, BUT IT WAS THEIR COUSINS UNCLES FRIEND WHO ALWAYS WORE THE RED SHIRT, IT WAS HIS NEPHEWS FRIEND WHO ACTUALLY CAUGHT 'EM AND WAS NOT SURE WHAT HE WAS USING OR WHERE. YOUR PROBABLY READING THE WRONG REPLY CAUSE I'VE NEVER HAD LUCK THERE.

Try launching at Lynn Creek Marina and fishing the Great SW PKWY bridge pilings.

Does the john boat have a motor? If so then I would put in at the dirt ramp at Loyd and head uo the creek.
Yes I did admit defeat. Good job back to back champion

David, thanks for the reply. Yes the 14'tri hull has a motor. a 40hp johnson and a trolling motor. It also has a fishfinder and a depth finder so I will be in serious bussiness. I think I might get me a year pass to Loyd.

Ben, lets start a new thread on alvarado park lake so this thread doesn't get hijacked. I'll adress your question over there.

Anyone been to the barge lately? Saturday was supposed to be a good fishing day. I didn't get a chance to wet a hook. I think I might go try tonight and see if I can do any good. Anyone want to meet up at the barge let me know.
