I'm tired of trying to explain what should be obvious. (I'll let you in on a little secret...half the gas is half of 10% of the cost).

Why pay ... ya...why should I pay...if I can freeload. This is the logic of many these days. This is the logic of the welfare generation.

That's why you can find me in "right field". I never swing to the left...I can't stand liberals. Because they always want something for nothing.

Hea Ozarks...I gota deal for you....I come live in your house....and I pay for half the electric bill....you pay all the other costs. Good deal..ya? Fits with your logic 100%

Consider your "chain" rattled. (or was that your brain rattling in it's thick carapace?) :p

SandSpike, I'll let you in on a little secret, paying half is far from "freeloading"! Not every fisherperson can afford to own a boat, let alone divy-up the full expense you feel is nessesary. How dare you point a finger in the direction of the so called "welfare generation"!! Oh, as to your "right field" stance, I can't stand people who think everyone owes them something!
Now, go find someone to pay the full expense to have the privilege to fish with you in your boat!

Prerogative” is frequently both mispronounced and misspelled as “perogative.” It may help to remember that the word is associated with PRivileges of PRecedence.

Sandspike, when you can't find somebody to pay for your boat, think about that when you're fishing by yourself.

Actually, why don't you just leave my thread alone. I found a fishing buddy so this thing should be closed really.

Sandspike,
You should go get on a political forum because it looks like you enjoy stirring up stuff and bothering people with your silly outlook. A man wanted to go fishing, and offering to pay for gas, it's a simple thing. I'm glad that I don't have a child in your middle school listening to your petty ideas all day.
Keep cutting people down on the fishing forum, we see you for what you are.

sandspike , out of curiosity .....how much would make you happy to take someone out in your boat?. if you need extra income maybe a part time job would be good for you because trying to make ends meet this way is not a solution.ive read some of your other posts in archives , you seem like a nice person but you seem awfully tight , thx w/r/j

rmc ,

It is not a easy thing to do to ask someone if you can go fishing fishing in their boat with them , but you did so in the best way on a fishing forum that one could .

Without explaning why you do not have a boat yourself , or that you may be limited on funds , you put the question out there and you were straight up with what you wanted and what you could do . Only those that would welcome that offer should have replied in my opinion.

Sorry someone felt the need to put you in their shoes even when they obviously had no intention of accepting your offer . I am glad others responded to your post as it was meant to be , you have given hope to others like me to do the same and maybe meet some members we have not met and have a good time fishing .

First of all I cant spell to good .But I read pretty well.
This first post looks a little bit like a contract to me with the word partner. It sounds a little bit long term.

The second post looks like a harsh bisness reply.

If I take some one out in my boat, that I have, that I really cant afford Im not going to have them pay me any thing.I just have them met me at my boat slip that I cant afford and we go.

But I sure as heck am not ready to call them a fishing partner.
I have went out with a few men fishing that I would never ever go fishing with agin.I dont even like to think about it.

On the other hand I have met a few surper nice fishing buddys.

First post
( Looking for a fishing partner to Crappie fish. My friends don't fish and neither does the wife. Bank or boat, doesn't matter, I just want to catch some crappie. If you have a boat I'll split the gas with ya.

I'm in the mid cities and work during the week so I'm pretty much limited to weekends.

Second post

(If someone invites you to fish in their boat...you should buy all the gas. After all the boat owner is paying for:
The boat payment
The oil for the gas.
The insurance on the boat.
The gas to tow the boat
The truck to tow the boat
The upkeep or maintainance of the boat and trailer.
The license for the boat.
The license for the trailer.
Or would you rather pay for half of all of the above?
Think about it...while fishing from the bank.)

Just thought I might git In the middle and git my but kicked on from both sides for a bit.
I see now I have to much time on my hands and Im going fishing by by.
