Looking for a fishing partner to Crappie fish. My friends don't fish and neither does the wife. Bank or boat, doesn't matter, I just want to catch some crappie. smile If you have a boat I'll split the gas with ya.

I'm in the mid cities and work during the week so I'm pretty much limited to weekends. fish

If someone invites you to fish in their boat...you should buy all the gas. After all the boat owner is paying for:
The boat payment
The oil for the gas.
The insurance on the boat.
The gas to tow the boat
The truck to tow the boat
The upkeep or maintainance of the boat and trailer.
The license for the boat.
The license for the trailer.
Or would you rather pay for half of all of the above?
Think about it...while fishing from the bank.

Look at it like it's a business....if you treat your customer right you'll get repeat business.....gouge him and you won't get another call from that customer.

Some people invite and just want someone to come along....that's cool. For others, expenses are high and it's nice to have someone share the expenses.....

You know that old proverb....do unto others as......

Set your expectations up front and no feelings will get hurt.

Where do they go when they're not there???

Woh fellers, don't want to start an arguement.

But I will say this, growing up my Dad would take whomever, when he wasn't taking me. All he asked is they pay half the gas, launch fees, etc.

If you're going anyway, why not have a friend to enjoy it with and cost you half as much? I would never ask nor let anybody pay for the whole thing. But that's just me and how I was raised.

But anyways, I'm just looking for a reliable buddy to fish with.

I've been fishing Granbury each weekend lately and usually by myself. You're welcome to come along. My boat is not big, but we fished with 3 people before. It's a 16' fiberglass bass boat. I could use help navigating the large trees in the lake to get towards the river. If you want to drive out west then send me a message during the week.

What a completely asinine reply. I can understand splitting fuel, bait, and maybe bring enough to drink for the Captain. Dude may as well go buy a boat and not even attempt to make a new friend if everyone acts like you SandSpike. I bet you're one of those boaters that give no respect for the smaller boats. IMHO, you can take your rig sandspike and tear the transom off while doing 90mph in shallow water. I think your attitude is a disgrace to all decent people that love to fish.

RMC, if you're ever up towards Tulsa, I'll take you out for nothin. I'll pay for the drinks and bait too. I'll also tell you every decent spot I know of that has been good to me. I share my knowledge of anything that might help you. I wouldn't give sandspike a tow back to shore.
