Going on the 5 hr. trip. Who catches more fish? Also the wife
and 3 1/2 yr. old want to go. Is it safe to take the toddler?
I know the cats are smoother riding. Any suggestions?

DD would be my choice. The 5 hour trip is hit or miss, usually miss but you never know. I would leave the your 3 1/2 year old at home, there is a lot of things on a party boat that can hurt you not to mention the danger of a young child being sea sick in the heat for several hours. Take the little one piggy peach fishing, you can go behind Fishermans wharf or Woody's at night when its cool and have a ball.

The boat at the crab man has been good for me.

Also, personally, Iwouldnt take a kid under seven out there. Its hard on little ones because they dont want to listen to instructions and that can lead to a very sick kid. Which will ruin your trip too. Just not a good adventure in fishing for the little ones.
