Has anyone had any luck lately on Ray Bob? I was catching a bunch in the last two weeks or so but cant find a fish anywhere now. Any suggestions.

Caught some on Tuesday at the marina, but mostly throwbacks (about 3 keepers were snagged, but I mananaged to keep with the throw back program before I could reel em' up).

Thanks BigCat were you using jigs or minnows?

Jigs...mainly panfish assasins (especially colors with any kind of chartreuse or pearl in them), but used some Jigums from Matthew Carroll as well. Mainly on the former though, but both work well.

Oh yeah, was drifting them down to between about 6-8 feet. Can I have a discounted guide trip now for coughing up my secrets? clap *kidding of course*

Anyway, hope it helps. I really like those assasins for some reason (can be either panfish or small bass ones that you can buy at Cabela's, Bass Pro, or Academy).

I'm in town. I work rotating shifts for the National Weather Service, so my days off vary, but shoot me a email sometime and maybe we can get a fishin' gig going here in the next several weeks. I'm just down I-35W in Keller, so only takes me 30-45 mins to head up your way.

Will be going with Guy on CC here Easter Sunday. Really like RayRoberts though, mainly because it's relatively close and easy to get to for me,
has less fishing pressure than most area lakes, and it's more out in the country(I like my peace n quiet). Have good one Fire Fisher and appreciate the offer.

I am heading out there on thursday with my brother. We will be fishing for 3 days near Pecan Creek. Does anyone know if the crappie are in the shallows up there yet? Does anyone have an idea about water temp? It looks like 4 days of 80 degree weather so hopefully that helps.

They're close last week, but last Thursday's TPW fishing report says they're now spawning. So go for it!

I will definately be there. We will be fishing from shore, so hopefully they will be closer in. If not, I think there is a drop off near where we fish that they seem to have staged at in the past, so maybe we can get them there.

Good luck. With that lake, hit any creek area or cove on the North or East end of the lake, and you should do fine.

I went fishing today....wind was from the south and water temp at 59F. Caught lots of sandbass not by choice though. Crappie have to be in the creeks still.

Great time to be a troll'in. First break line by the shore. RR's,Tube jigs w/without minnows, and beetle spins. They are staging. I think its called boy scout camp, a cove just down from Pecan Creek.

If we dont have a boat, could we just fish the same area with slip bobbers and casting roadrunners?
