My Dad and I started fishing the full moon nights way back in 1980. Since then, we have noticed many things. On the moonlit nights, the lights are not a big attractant. Banks shaded from the moon are also good places for fish. In certain lakes, if you do not land within a foot of the bank you won't catch as many fish. Black and blue, black and red, dark worms and jigs work better overall. Bank fishing and structure in 6-10' of water are all affected by the light. Starting about 4 days prior all the way up to the 2nd day after the full moon are affected. Dark nights in summer time are also decent nights to fish. This all comes from years of experience and hours on the water, but remember, not every lake is the same, and each fishing trip is and experience and different from the last. My experience with night fishing could be totally different from everyone else's. Soft plastics and jigs, with an occational black spinnerbait ot buzzbait and work it real slow. Rattles are a plus. Be ready as soon as it hits the water as the fish take it a lot on the fall before you even move the lure.

Never paid much attention to the moon. If I can get to the water and wet a line, I don't care what the moon is doing...

Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way you are a mile away, AND you have their shoes.

I night fished a ton during the 90's on Fork and other lakes and I seemed to do better during no moon bass fishing at night although it was definitely a lot easier to see with a full moon. I used a spinnerbait as my main bait and that may be why it worked so good, the fish going after the vibration of the bait instead of actually looking at the bait. One other thing I noticed on lakes with a lot of docks is that I seemed to have better luck on unlit docks than the lighted one's most people fish. Like most people have said I really don't care what phase the moon is in if I get a chance to go I'm gone.

i'm sure the lunar table effects fishing but i haven't really seen a differnce. major or minor feeding periods. its all the same to me. i rely more on reaction strikes. i'm more concerned with the wind.
