the day started off slow in 27-25 ft of water only managed 6 in 2 hours, so i moved out to 29-28 ft of water and in 30 mins put 7 more in the boat. 5 of which were 5 pounds and over. not a bad end to the morning.

This is where I get confused. I hear all the time about thermoclines and the fish will not be tht deep this time of year and then you prove all of that wrong. Nice catch.

ive been catching them from 38-12 ft lately...seems the bigger blues are all in the deeper water right now. 25ft and deeper.

gizzard shad is the key right now... if you can find any.. im having to go out at 9-12pm every night just to get bait. and im only getting 7 or 10 everynight. i just ran out of bait today.. otherwise i would probally still be out there.
