I'll be in Houston beginning of next week and was wondering if there is any good fishing over in Kemah?
Thanks

I don't know of any good places. You could go down to San Leon, which is south on 146 about 15 mins from Kemah. I believe there is a pier out around that area. You could ask someone at one of the bait camps. But Kemah is more of a party area. Hey, while there check out Palapas and the Monkey Bar. Very cool hang outs. T-Bone Toms is also very cool. Live music. Have fun!!!!!!

I've fished that area a lot...but have been busy doing weird bluegill fishing lately. It has some great spec fishing at certain times.

To be honest with you, looks like Saturday and Sunday may be good for surf fishing. Off shores are 1 to 2 foot, southeast winds around 5 knots and two tides. I will be either at Surfside near the jetties about waist deep or at the West end of Galveston. Topwaters early in the morning. May buy some mullet or croaker. If you guy croaker make sure you put them in a round container - they are stupid and will not make the turn in a square container and kill themselves banging into the sides - damn sounds like some of my buddies, haha.
