BOY do I feel like a freakin fool!!!! Last year I purchased a "Year to date Fishing License" that expired 7/31/2009. Well I went to Academy 8/6/09 and purchased another License. That dadgum year to date license REALLY screwed me up!!!!!! I figured (brain fart) that since it was PAST 8/1/09 I would get a license good until 8/31/2010?????? I JUST looked at my license and IT EXPIRES 8/31/2009??????? I paid FULL BUMP $38.00 for a )(@$&*@%(^%@$&_)*$@# license that's only good for a month.......... Daaaaaaaayum I feel snookered.

Duno Bud I just noticed it RAT NOW...... I'm moe than a lil Pizzzzzzzzzzzed to say the least lol. The cashier NEVER said a word either when I told her I wanted a ONE YEAR ALL WATER FISHING LICENSE either. I'm going back TOMORROW and takin a jacked up ABU reel I just bought for my wife to return ALSO.

that sucks. it must be purchased 8/15/09 or after to be valid until 8/31/10. i know it sucks, but man u should have asked. i highly doubt u can get a refund but u never know....

I duno but I got a BAD feeling that because it's a STATE thing. They gona tell me I am S.O.L. That $30+ is gas in the boat for 2 FISHIN TRIPS. Man what a fricken Maroon I am. So let this be a lesson to everyone out there that buys a YEAR TO DATE LICENSE then wants to buy a REGULAR license.

that sucks man....must have been a mistake because when I went they told me my options before I got it at academy told me the price for the year and when it expired and also told me the price for the year to date which was only like 41 dollars and good for a year. Ill bet they will fix it for ya.

striker I used that AWFUL word "ASSUME" you know it makes an @SS out of U & ME???? I THOUGHT I had made myself perfectly clear asking for a "ONE YEAR ALL WATER FISHING LICENSE" I guess NOT. Man I sure hope SOMEONE reads this and DON'T make the same mistake I did.

relax bro. call up to academy and ask to talk to a manager and ask them about it real quick and see when they have to say.

they probably thuoght you wanted the regular all water lic (8/15/09 - 8/31/10) when you go back there them you wanted the YEAR FROM PURCHASE ALL WATER PACKAGE. i think it's 45.00.

right. i'm sure they'll help you out.

yeah, If you asked for the one year option..that is what you should have gotten.. I would go to academy.. in all my dealings with them, they have been real cool.

I was in a similar situation. I had a year to date license that expired on 07/31. I was going fishing at 4am on 08/01, so on 07/31 I went to Bass Pro to buy a new license. They said that I could not buy a new license because I had a valid license until midnight of that night. Needless to say there was no way for me to buy a new license between midnight and 4am, so I went out and risked it the next morning. On our lunch break I stopped in at an outfitter in Three Rivers to get a new license. I wasn't sure what to get, because I wanted to get on the annual schedule instead of the more expensive year-to-date option. Luckily the guy told me that if I bought the $45 year-to-date license it would actually expire on the last day of that month next year which is 08/31/2010, and then I would be able to purchase the $28 license from then on. I guess all of the people selling licenses are not so helpful.
