last week i was lucky enough to spend 5 days at a buddie's bay house in Fort Walton with 12 of my friends. we partied really hard but found some time to do some fishing/gigging.... enjoy

after driving for 11 hours from Rockwall to Fort Walton, most went to bed tim and i got to work

these rays were gige in about 18" of water, it was a fun battle with that short pole avoiding the thrashing tail/barb and dragging them up on the beach... please dont hate me we wouldnt have gigged any rays if we would have know that we were going to catch some on rod and reel, ps we did grill these guys up and "try" them

Grandparents lived there for years before they passed and I spent many a day on Choctawhatchee Bay in our cabin cruiser. We gigged flounder in Rocky Bayou and caught many a speck in the Shalimar Yacht Basin. Love that white sand!

yes indeed he is!! good call, another one of the couples on the trip had their honey moon in Playa a few weeks before and they scored that mask, so we made good use of it on the trip!
