I'm in need of finding a comfortable pair of shoes to wear whild fishing. I stand while i fish and use my butt seat to lean against but here latley it has taken a toll on my feet/heels , especially on my heels. Our night time club tour. are usually 12 hours long and the one last month i wore my sandals and by the end of the tour. my heels were hurting badley, so this past weekend i wore my tennis shoes they help some but around 2pm my feet and legs were in a lot of pain it was time for a sit down which i normally dont do, but had no choise. So my question. Is there a brand of shoes that have a good sole and cushion inside that will make not make your feet hurt after a day of fishing. I know some of you guys/gals fish often and most of you stand so if you could please let me know of a shoe it would make my feet happy Thanks.

Hmmm. Do you think your feet may be telling you it's time to join Bill Dance and me, by sitting rather than standing?

Yes gcf! I have thought about the Bill Dance off set pesdal that way i could sit while i fish. But if there is a shoe that will give me a little more cushion i would like to try that first. Those 12 hour tour. will take a toll on you but i need all the time i can get to get my limit.

Whenever you make a run during the day take your shoes off then slip them back on when you get to your next spot.

I understand Crankbait. I was mainly kidding you, but there does come a time to make a change. Bill and I are about the same age...and I use an offset similar to the one he uses, which I like very much.

Yes Neller they hurt for a couple of days afterwards. The very back of the heel of course that is where all the pressure was due to alll my weight being on them due to leaning on the butt seat. This time wearing tennis shoes with a little more support they did not hurt the next day as much just while i was fishing at one point i had to just sit on the deck for a while and let them rest.

Might be a case of Plantar Fascitis. I wear arch supports in my shoes and that helps alot.
