Left about Friday at noon for PK with Connor Wood as my deckhand and Patrick Trotter from Houston. We made the long run to Rock Creek for 40 good Gizzards. Bait was harder to catch this week but larger than our recent trips. We pulled the boat again and made the short run to the dam puttting in at the BRA ramp by the Harbor Marina. It didn't take long for the fish to start biting once we got to the spot. We kept six for the box when uncle Scott called and said he was almost to the lake. We made a quik run to the bank to get Scott and returned to the spot catching only two more. You see Scott has a way with fish. There sooooo scared of him that they almost allways quit biting when he shows up! We looked around for a while after the sun went down for some more good night fishing spots on the low end of the lake. We found several and are looking foward to trying them soon. Saturday morning we were a little slow getting out of bed. We were at the fishing hole early but only managed two. I think if we would have been there when the sun came over the hill it would have been better. Mid morning we anchored on one of my old spots across from Gains Bend. We marked lots of fish. patrick had one on a slab and lost it and Scott had a fish on a peice of cut shad. Scotts fish also got away. After the fishing was over we entered the Possum Kingdom COC Pirate run on PK. We were given four marinas to find treasure at. At each Marina we were given maps to other treasures hidden around the lake. The kids had a ball. Some one was a bad Pirate and stole all the treasure from the chest on Sand Island. In exchange they dumped there old lunch box in the chest. Not knowing any better Connor turned in a very old ham & cheese sandwich and Patrick turned in a very old peice of Pineapple. You should have seen the look on the score keepers face when she opened my kids bags! My good friends Chris & Andrea Landons son Nick won the best costume. Ill add his pick later. There was plenty of big go fast boats playing Pirate and man did they have some booty on board! Patrick with a PK Striper Connor teaching a striper a thing or two! Uncle Scott with one that wasn't scared of him!

Some thing I wanted to mention. The BRA makes you buy a sticker at PK to use the lake and boat ramps. I was not for this when I origanly heard about it but.....The BRA has done what they said they would do. If you use a BRA facility on PK it will have a good ramp and a brand new boat dock. Most have rest rooms. The faciltys at PK these days are top notch for boaters. $50.00 Bucks a year is worth the price. One, two, and three day passes are available also. In comparison to some of the ramps and docks at other lakes PK is tops!

Hydra Sport I wish we had a big dose of Hybrids like you have at Tawakoni. Years ago some Hybrids washed out of the lake above us and the grew well and were fun to catch.

Are your docks straight across from Scenic point in the Gains Bend area? I found a couple of green submerged lights in a cove there on Friday night. There were some guys close by that I hollerd at but the did not hear or see me. I will be giving these lights a try on Friday night so......If ya see a Century boat fishing your lights don't shoot!

Randy, it's good to see the regular crew on Family Style, and even better to see y'all catching fish on PK.
I'm in town this week and may even get the old Baystealth catfish boat wet.
Let's get caught up soon....

You know you may need to change the name on the Bay Stealth to "Dusty" I would like to get caught up soon. Maybe you and our old watering hole crowd could hook up soon.
One of these days I coming to see that tree farm!

Good report, Randy! Keep us updated on PK.
When the wife and I do retire, we'll probably move over around the west side of Ft. Worth to be closer to the grand-daughters. That means Texoma, Bridgeport, EM, Ray Bob and PK are well within my sights! I haven't fished PK as much as I have the others but hopefully I'll have enough time to make up for it.
