Where do you park, Bridge St and Parker Blvd by the building and walk to the pond? That would be the only place I saw but wasn't sure.

I parked in the housing subdivision, not sure the name of the street. I'am going back sunday morning so I'll look to see what the street name is.

fished pond behind NRH h2o park. nothing but dinks and the place was kinda crowded at first as well. it seems to be seeing a lot of pressure lately. kids jumping off the bridge was entertaining when the cops showed up though...lol boys will be boys I guess. not the smartest thing to do in about 10 foot of water, just glad they didnt hurt themselves

Fished it this morning with no luck. Just a few small bites!

My plan for today was to take my light spinning setup to get some bluegills and just kill some time.

Went to the pond behind Keller City Hall and got a small bass. I thought there was nothing in that pond.

After that I went to Bear Creek park and nothing so I decided to go to the Colleyville Nature Center for the same reasons... kill time and try for the BG. First cast on the 6th pond, I get a medium size bass. I was using a small roadrunner and at the last minute, it got away. Then at the 7th pond, I get another one. As I am grabbing the line to pick it up, the little sucker bit the line and fell on the edge of the water with my lure still in his mouth. I grabbed that puppy and fell in the the grass, got my lure and put the little sob back in the water, lol!

Was the center recently stocked??? I felt a bit dumb cause all I was getting were bass with my light setup, lol!

I was trying my Abu cardinal 102 with 6lbs Trilene XL and a medium 6'6" rod.

Read this thread ... driving directions provided about halfway down the thread.

After reading about this pond I ggogle mapped it and headed over there. Unfortunately, I got there just before dark. There was a family fishing from the wooden dock for bluegills with worms. They left just as I got there. I tossed a curly tail motor oil colored worm (T Rigged) over by the weeds on the right side and caught a LMB on the second cast. Then it was just too dark so I left. But I will be back. My wife walked down (North) past the bridge at Bridge St. and saw a Dad & Son catch a nice catfish there. They had a lantern and looked to be staying for a while when we left. Saw a sign saying something about that place being managed by the Army Corps of Engineers for NRH. Nice place to fish from the bank, but it did look a little snakey!

"Snakey" I just worry about the HOA. Hopefully they won't start complaining and thinking that area belongs to them.

hey texguppy, i was at colleyville nature center on Sunday also, got one small bass to hit on a silver minnow. What were you throwing out there and how are the ponds numbered? Is there a map of them?

rdawggy, because I wasn't planning on any bass, I was using a 1/8 char roadrunner.
Check google maps for a look at the area. The way I number them would be the first 4 at the main entrance. 5 would be the one that you see from the street that's almost dried up. 6 would be the first one you see when you exit the first trail. 7 thru 9 are the last ones.
It is hard to explain but at first, I drew a little map and guide off it.

About Linda Spurock...be careful. It is snakey, especially towards sundown. I was there on Sunday with a buddy of mine and saw what looked like 2 water moccasins. But it was too dark to tell completely. Needless to say, i left...lol

Thanks for that, I figured out the numbering from your explanation.
