Could be. Work the rocky areas, mostly around boat ramps could be good, but real early at first light. But this time of year most anyplace will be tough

Fishing was TOUGH on Lavon yesterday. But with the weather change and cooler temps forecast for the next few days, who knows?

i heard someone caught a 10 plus pounder outta there a couple weeks ago. It was a new lake record. I fished a few small bass tourneys there several years ago. Not a great bass lake as faR AS SIZE AND BIG NUMBERS, BUT THAT LAKE HAS PLENTY OF STRUCTURE TO FISH. To answer your question it is not worth driving very far to bass fish.

I heard a big fish was caught, but they failed to get it weighed...therefore no new lake record.

Went out today between noon and 3:30 and had 7 keepers to 4 lbs. best 5 might have went 13... not too bad for Lavon.

Caught a 24 inch 8 pounder crappie fishing in april on live minnow. Best i have ever seen, and they are few and far between.
