I had the hook so deep in my finger, that when it pressed the nerve and bone, my left foot would dance.

I think the key is to yank it very hard..and maybe have some feeding fish nearby to give you incentive. A buddy of mine hooked himself in the back of the head with a Rat-L-Trap. He was so pissed that he yanked it out himself. Needless to say, he had the biggest catch of the day.

Eddy Hankins took a three ought Mustad through the ear one time at the start of a 5 day float trip.
He got to liking it so well that he had one just like it put in the other ear!
Wears them to this day!

My buddy took one to the ear a few years ago. Screamed like a little girl if I even touched it! He went to the hospital, lmao!
I was running some lines with my wife the other day and it was real windy and as I was baiting one of the trebles and we were floating away, the line started getting tight on me so, I told my wife to go forward with the TM a little bit. Well she accidentally went reverse which drove the hook in my right hand just a little bit. The next part happened pretty quick. I am trying to run to the front of the boat and at the same time pull the hook out. Well, I get it out and have it in my left hand now but the line is so tight that when I let go it snaps hard and the hook goes deep in my left thumb! At the point I am at the bow of the boat literally getting pulled out, so...I bail!
The funny part is that I just stayed under water for about 30 seconds while yanked the hook out of my thumb. Wife said she was freaking because all she could see was my hat floating where I went under!
Good times.

I watched a buddy of mine catch a Zara Spook in the eye one day when we were fishing a deer lease lake....Luckily the hook went in behind the cornea so it didnt blind him...Worst part was when he turned to look at me with the dang thing sideways in his eye and asked me how bad and then proceeded to try to pass out. Moral of the story is when you are using the line to pull the boat to the stump to get your bait unhung, make sure you have glasses on...

I am still wondering how come I have gotten stuck so many times by OTHER people. I think I have pretty good friends...but boy they kick my arse with dem hooks!
I have gotten stuck in the shoulder with a 1/4 ounce saltwater jig THREE times by 3 different people. All of which came while fishing under the birds for speckle trout. The action gets hot and I guess my friends get goofy and common sense just goes out the winda!
The worse one was about 3 years ago. I had a friend come over from Alabama(thats where is goes bad to start with). He wanted to catch speckle trout and so I got the boat out and rigged up everything and off we went. We found a group of birds and I told him to just start throwing into the middle of em and I will get the fish off and give you the rod back ready to go. We had 3 rods ready like a assembly line he would catch a fish and reel it in and then hand it over to me to get the fish off. While he grabbed a fresh rod and threw back out again. Well the fish starting hitting hard and the action got crazy......
Well one of dem times he rared back to throw I was bent over getting the last fish off and I guess he went a lil too far back on his throw cause that 1/4 ounce jig hit my shoulder and the hook stuck me. THEN he didnt know I was stuck so he completed his "olympic" throw stucking that hook all the way to the shank into my shoulder just about turning me all the way around with it. So I let out a few words that my mom would make me eat soap over and told him to "hold on".
He looked back asked that dumb arse question everyone ask "what happened?"
"you stuck me you SOB!" I was just pickin at him and told him to "grab another rod this one is tied up"
I cut the line and proceeded to pull that hook out. I yanked on it pretty good and brought out a lil piece of meat on the barb and funny thing is it bleed for a sec then just stopped?? I put some super glue on it and a duck tape bandage and kept on fishing. My buddy just about fainted when he saw me pull that hook out... Wooos-E!
I have learned the pain tolerance I have is pretty high...
and I need new friends!!
Land was created to provide a place for boats to visit!! It is when pirates count their booty that they become mere thieves. ARRRRRR....

I netted a bass for my team parner one time and as I was reaching in the hook popped out of it's mouth and right into my finger. The fish was flopping around for a few seconds which really hurt. We got the fish out and in the livewell and then proceeded to work on the hook. He rigged up some line and ended up popping it out. When he did I jumped around for a couple of seconds, reached over and grabed a piece of ice, put it on the bleeding finger, picked up my rod and reel and made a cast with my worm and started fishing again. That's when I noticed my partner rumaging through one of the storage compartments. I asked him what he was doing. He turned around white as a ghost with a package of crackers and said he felt sick to his stomach. When he pulled the hook out it stretched the skin so far and he said it looked so gross that he felt like he was going to throw up. Me and a boat with two other guys who had witnessed the whole ordeal started cracking up at my buddy who was sitting in the bottom of the boat with his head in his hand and eating those old stale crackers. Then we went to weigh in and another buddy was standing in line when we walked up. He turned around and said to my buddy, "Hey Robert, can you help me with this after we weigh in". He stuck out his hand and had a treble hook buried into the top of his hand. I thought I was going to die right then and there. But Robert took care of it and grabed another package of crackers to eat before the ride home. He had a rougher day than we did.

After a great day of fishing and catching a 12 lb cat, my next cast didn't go so well! Give you one guess where the 3rd treble is! (this is my right shoulder) We tried cutting the trebles and pushing it through but that didn't work. Finally went to the ER which took 3 minutes to get out.

This is mine from yesterday. In the middle of Ray Bob, by myself. 3 attempts at removal by me, then a short trip to the ER for them to remove with a needle.
