Proof you can catch crappie when it's cold. We got 3-4" of ice in Iowa while I was back over Christmas.

Wow the ice looks a little thin for me. However it makes the 51 degree water I fished Wednesday look warm. Great pic.

Nazman, The set-up in the picture is a $5 ice fishing combo. Pic of a jig pole. We used 1/64oz jigs tipped with power bait on 4# line.

Wow, you the man Musky! I may like to try that some time too, but it seems that I have a problem with being cold. So I guess that's why it's pretty low on my to-do list!  Glad you caught something though!

Brrr Brrr That is a dedicated fisherman. Belongs to that exclusive club like the tube fishermen and water wagon individuals that battle the cold water this time of the year.
