I'll be heading down to Corpus tomorrow. I have not been in a while. Can anyone recommend some good places? Of course I'll be wanting seafood.

Thanks in advance.

snoopy's out @ the JFK bridge is not bad, also over @ Port Aransas you can go to the Crazy Cajun. In Corpus we went to Landry's before and it was good, just a little pricey.

Kings Inn at Loyola Beach is the best, but it's about 1hr drive from Corpus..

the next best thing is the Railroad Seafood Station in Odem, Texas.

The Black Diamond Oyster Bar, 7202 S. Padre Island Drive, serves the best shrimp I've ever had. It's casual, and prices are reasonable.

Ignore all of the other suggestions and go to Water St. Oyster Bar and Grill. Thank me later.

There's a Water Street clone in San Antonio, and it always has an interesting selection of fresh fish. Here lately, though, the chef has been conducting some unfortunate experiments with seasonings that can set you afire. I think it was the walnut sauce that cauterized my taste buds, but I'm not sure.

Is the Lighthouse Seafood still there. I think that was the name?? Right by the water. Great food and my wife said it was romantic. She was running her foot up and down my leg, so I guess it was true.

Anyway good food there if it still exists.

The City Diner is downtown is pretty darn good. B&J pizza is also real good. All the What-a-burgers are alot better for some reason in corpus too.

Try mama mia's off downtown at 128 N Mesquite St
Corpus Christi, TX 78401.

A little pricey but excellent italian food, fresh seafood, pasta osso buco etc..... chefs daily specials are the way to go, great atmosphere. Last time I was in Corpus I ate a cajun place called the bayou grill on alameda that was really good, standard cajun fare but done really well when I was in there.

Waterstreet is over rated and the city diner is way overrated. though the last time in waterstreet the sushi and rolls were pretty good.

Great Tex-Mex food at Kiki's on Everhart. Best mexican rice in town!
