That does sound really high. We called Bob at Worldwide Marine Underwriters to insure our new boat.

I have agreed value policy of 35k for boat and trailer 300k liability, if something does go wrong and the boat is totaled I would receive 35k today or 5 years from now this policy is great due to rising cost of a replacement Rig my Insurane premium has never been over $400.00 I live in MA which I thought had higher Insurance Rates but from I see for prices maybe not? I have never had a boat claim since I obtained marine Insurance, I use FITTS Insurance the best part about this is the Vice President is a Bass Fisherman so he clearly understands the needs of Tournament anglers, not sure if he insures out of state or not
Thanks

Get another quote from progressive with the same options except change the 100K liability to 300K or 500K liability. I found that since it's $100 minimum, I could get the 500K coverage on the policy for the same $100 price.

I did this all online, so if there is a DFW TFF'er that is a progressive agent I would definitely like to have a 'personal' insurance agent! smile

I moved from the DFW area 2 yrs ago, and got Farm Bureau Insurance - I can tell you that if your not with FB - your are not saving. I had State Farm in DFW - it cut my cost almost in HALF! If you need my guys number - send me an IM, I don't want to sound like a commericial... HA!
