Is there a difference in a marine battery and a battery you buy at auto zone? I use a 30lb thrust minn kotta on my pontoon. Does it make difference what kind'a battery I use?

Where ever you buy it you want a deep cycle marine battery. Even places like Wally World sell them. Look for reserve amps. Get 180-200 and you will be fine.
