Which marina will be hosting the launch for the TTBC this October at Lake Conroe?

The weighin and activities are at Buffalo Springs in Montgomery according to their site. Not sure where they are launching though.

April Plaza is the only one on that side of the lake that could hold that many boats.

I was told the take off will be from the constable station on the west side of the dam.

Thanks for th response but I can't see the launch being held there. That station only has a pier that sits too high out of the water for boats.

I believe that they are in the process of completeing another ramp at that location and adding to the dock space.

You could be right I see they are adding a lot of dock space over there made me wonder what they had going on, now I see.

Yea.....what do I know hmmm The take off will be from Papa's and the constable station is just around the corner. It's a private, secure area that has plenty of room for their parking needs. There is not a place on Conroe that would be able to hold all the PAA's trucks and trailers along with the all the other people that want to launch their boats and watch.

I am sure they will find fish that none of us even thought about fishing before.

I just returned from Conroe and a TTBC site visit and tournament meeting. BassCat'n Boke is correct. The anglers will launch at the private SJRA dock where their vehicles will be parked securely. They will then idle around the corner to Papa's http://papasonthelake.com/ where they will pick up their judge and depart for the day's competition. The morning launch will be open to the public. That is a GREAT facility to do take off with a good spectator area.

The Buffalo Springs facility will be AWESOME. It will be turned into a small city and is designed to accomadate 10,000 cars and 30,000 people a day. This thing is going to be HUGE! The site is 3X the size of Fork and there will be lots to do for the family. Live music for 3 nights, fireworks on Friday night and outstanding accessability to the Nation's 60 top professional anglers. You will be able to meet all of them and get autographs in a special tent area as they come off stage.

There will be a full expo area and TPWD family fun zone plus lots of food and beverage. Should be a great time.

Tickets are on sale now and only $30 for all three days or just $10 per day. Ticket prices go up at the end of September, so buy now to save. You can buy them here http://www.toyotatexasbassclassic.com/tickets
This event is BIGGER than the Bassmaster Classic or Forrest Wood Cup and brings the BEST anglers from both trails to Texas.

See you there!!!!

More attendees, more entertainment (concerts), fireworks, outdoor show, TPWD Expo type area. etc etc
The classic is great, but not much more than a weigh-in and outdoor show.
