I fished Texoma this past Saturday evening for the first time since last winter. Fished the Washita flats, the Plats, and up to the railroad bridge without a bite. Then on the way back to the state park, found the boat show just up from the dam but it was already dark. Boated 6 before they quit in about 15 minutes. Was I fishing the wrong section of the lake for this time of the year? Is the lower section the place to be in the summer months? Was using slabs and sassy shad if that matters.

You werent necessarily in the wrong places. Ive been getting fish on the washita flats a few days last week and the channels from the dam to the RR bridge is holding alot of fish.
Right now there are fish literally everywhere on the lake.. even way out west of hwy 377. Anyone wonder why they havent seen me in over a week on the lake smile smile Ive been freakn some people out by going west instead of east smile
Hard to say what you did or didnt do but you werent in none productive water..

I fished on 8/01 for the first time since last Winter also and only caught a bunch of dinks. I went with my Hubbard friends (Tamp, Terry and Ray. Two boats) and fished from 8:30 to 8:30, found topwater at several spots but they were all 12 inchers. We used everything in our tackle boxes. Did went to all the spots you mentioned and also to the islands and the graph didnt show much. Yeah, we saw the boat show near the dam but it was getting dark so we decided to head in.

Did you see the pontoon boat with about 15 girls in binikis came by at Washita point around 3ish...about 20 yds from us all waving saying hello. They all looked like Hooters girls. lizard That was the only excitement from our trip, LOL! We also got caught in the middle of the loud and crazy crazy poker run when we were at the islands. Oh, we also caught JD doing this okie fish call at the island also...on the okie side of course since that doesnt work on the Texas side, hehe! rolfmao

That was me waving and hollering at you JD when we both were heading the opposite direction just North of the island. LOL! Will try the big pond again when its hero or deadsticking season grin

Well that's good to know. There is nothing that breaks my confidence more than thinking I am fishing dead water.
