45 dollars looks like a good deal to me. if you don't currently have a license. I think i'll get a all water this year.

If you were night fishing and caught 5 bass before midnight and 5 bass after midnight, could you have 10 bass in your livewell?

The $28 annual runs from AUG 1 TO AUG 1. Or you can get ripped off for $45 and get one that runs from date of purchase. That expires on Aug 31st--- Not Aug 1st

Are bag limits different in different counties? Bag limits are state wide, UNLESS other wise specified in the outdoor annual for a specific water body.

You would be allowed to have in your possession, not your livewell or stringer these examples. One limit in the frig or freezer and one limit on your stringer, etc. Or, two limits in your frig or freezer.
Species --- Daily Limit --- Possession Limit
LMB ------------- 5 -------- 10 Crappie ---------25 -------- 50 Catfish --------- 25 -------- 50 White Bass ----- 25 -------- 50

Possession limit does not mean in your possession at home. It means in your possession UNTIL you get it to your primary residence. If you are on a fishing campout and stay for a week, you cannot have in your possession more than double the daily bag limit. You cannot travel with more than the double daily bag limit. You can have as many as ya want at your home.

Thanks for the clarifications. The book and web page show the differences by lake (not by county). For example, on lake georgetown, you can keep five largemouth <= 14in or >=18 in. And for spotted bass, they can be any size. But the total for both must not be less than 5.
fish on.

Does not expire on Aug 31...as it states...good for one year from date of purchase. actually you can do even better if you buy it at the first of the month. I got mine In march of this year, cause I couldnt see buying one and renewing in aug.. It expires at the end of the month 1 year from purchase.. I got march 2nd.. it expires march 31st next year.. like a bonus month...well now that I read that it sounds lame, but I was stoked
