you also need the mold to stay hot for best results ... i usta light my coleman cooks stove just to keep my molds hot while i was pourin'

No kidding on the burns, but I can totally see how a hot mold could help it stay liquid a bit longer to smooth out the outer layer on the sinkers.

Try not to breath too many lead fumes either.
I hear it can cause E.D...

WOW all this for making sinkers I make a bunch of weight and jig heads my self about 400 lbs a week never thought anything about the after affeict.

try to get the old tire weights from wal mart quick car ect theres a lot to be made there as well:D hope that helps

We do it outside on the driveway. It's not smart to do it inside.
