I've noticed that if I leave punch bait in the boat or in the garage it seperates into an oily mess. It seems like I am always throwing it out and buying a new can. Anyone have any luck salvaging this stuff?

Store it in the fridge maybe? My boyfriend has this same problem, and since storing in a small fridge, stuff keeps like a charm!

Yeah, you gotta keep it cool. I leave mine in an ice chest when I am fishing. Just throw it in the frig, it will firm back up.

I actually keep all of mine stored in the boat (cant afford a divorce if I put that [censored] in the fride) when it gets real oily I add a little flour and stir the snot out of it. It will even stay on a treble hook better.

I have a small refrigerator that's in my washroom where I put it in, I wouldn't be able to get away with putting it in fridge that's in the kitchen.

I can't leave cooked corn inside...if I tried to bring punch bait in the house.....or ever started fishing with it....well lets just say I would have ALLOT more time to fish.....but I would only be fishing with half my gear....if you follow....

Man I am glad I read this. I have always used cattails to thicken if I can find them. I'll start using flour. Thanks!

We had Danny Kings and Sure Shot yesterday. Sure Shot outfished Danny's 10 to 1. If you have not tried it yet, I would get some.

The bait has gone completely bad. Box it up and send it to me so I can dispose of it in the environment properly for you. smile
