We have some very dear friends that are raising their Grandsons! The GrandDad is super but not a hunter or fisher type. The boys want to go fishing and I figured to take them. Used to take my Grands to Moss Creek Lake to catch blue gills. Is that place open for business, can you fish there? Is there a better place to take some little guys to bank fish that will get them bit?
Any help is greatly appericated!
Thanks and Gig'em, Mark Fairchild

I think it would be tough to find a lake or any body of water in the USA that did not have Brim in it. As far as good ones in your area. I would check with TPWD. A lake that has Bass and Crappie should have good bluegill too. And if you can find some Gray Crickets. I bet you'll catch a mess of e'm. CBW
Theres only two kinds. Good ole big'ems. And big ole good ems.

Old, Thanks that is exactly what I needed to know. Do NOT want to take 6 year olds to some place w/o Blues. It is a shame, that lake (big pond) was kinda of a sleeper, have caught some decent bass there.
Thanks and Gig'em, Mark Fairchild

http://www.angelfire.com/tx6/cabin/ Don't know what area you are looking at but this place is private and has Unbelievable Monster bluegill fishing. Has a dock that goes across the 4 acre lake. Really nice place with nice owners. Been there twice. $95 a night for the cabin and they will catch all the fish they want.
