I'll be fishing the north end of the lake tonight. Any tips for that area? The plan is to hit a couple of BPs around reynolds and airport.

between 3 of us, we had 7 keepers. a LOT of short fish were caught though, which made it a fun night. the areas that produced the better fish were in shallower water (10-11ft). all were caught on jigs, color didn't seem to matter much. i don't know any spots near the swim beach, but if you could find some piles in areas like that I think you could put some nice keepers in the boat.

I read more and more about this lake and have as yet to fish it and need to change that for sure. I even saw a fishing show the other day that featured Waco. What does the water look like, clear/muddy/stained/dark?

The water on Waco is usually around 2' visibility. However heavy rain and wind will muck it up fast. Their are tons of 9" fish rite now, and very small shad everywhere. I think in a couple years it will be one of the best crappie lakes in the state. Just my opinion.
