Id like to see pics of these 100 in 3hrs myself, not sayin didnt happen BUT kinda sounds to good to be true, I know if I was a guide I woulda posted pics of that but thats just me, free advertising Opus he is a fishing guide that's what he does for a living, there have been alot of threads over the last couple of weeks with other guides having the same results look at Hill country fishings posts. I am not a guide but I have got on the fish like this before, he probably could've caught more, but I'm assuming he only had four fisherman on his boat that day and each one caught their limit of 25

It's not just Tawakoni, look at other guided lakes like Fayette,Choke Canyon, Lewisville, Calaveras.

Lewis King is good bait-better I think than Sure Shot-at least I like the texture...those guides catch big blues at Tawakoni in the winter but they have to get the shad from someone here in the Metroplex because they (the shad) go deep at Tawak-I saw a 45# Blue unloaded at the cleaning table from George Rule's boat and couldn't believe they were going to butcher that fish-I would rather eat the smaller fish but I suppose someone who paid for the trip felt otherwise!

capnbeak, I know how ya feel when ya see those guys cleaning the old grand maw and dads. It really makes me sad too. We know the better eating are 20# or less, but it takes all kind of folks to make the world go round !!! I really think George trys to release the big uns but like you said it all comes down to who is paying!!!We don't keep anything over 20#, everything bigger gets a picture and is released to enjoy another day. So glad that most of the cat tourneys are catch and release. good luck and good fishing!!

Look the reason some of you don't like the way the big fish taste is because you or who you have cleaning them, don't know how to clean them. A 60lb fish is just as tasty as a 2lb fish, it's all in how well you clean them.
On the note of keeping big fish, If you leave all of the big ones the bulk of the population will not have a chance to mature. This will result in fewer big fish in any given lake. Keeping a few of the big fish is just like killing big mature deer, you take out the mature ones and that will result in a whole lot more big ones.
Can't speak for most of the guide but I know Mr. Hanson will not keep all of the big ones he catches. He makes an educated call on which ones need to be thrown back and which ones need to be kept!
Good Fishin
