You guys have some suggestions or maybe what you will use this weekend with this chance of rain for early morning topwater bite?

I was thinking about swithing between a white XPS topwater walker and a brown/reddish Spro (forgot the actual color). Follow up with a bait/green color floating worm.

I have thrown many a topwaters, and when I have another person in my boat we try to use different colors to test to see if fish really care.

In my opinion, color is irrelevant.

If you have one try the Yellow Magic Japanese Shad version. I have found this one to work very well in all water color conditions. We have fished them along side a Pop-R and they have out produced them 4-1.

I would, if I was ready to dive into a 13.95 topwater bait. I hear abunch about this bait, it seems to produce fish.

I agree with Keeb. The Bone color is my goto, but have had a lot of success on baby bass as well. These baits are well worth the money, but if price is a concern the Pop-R still catches a lot of fish. In my experience if the fish are short striking your popper baits or blowing them out of the water try switching to a walking bait (like the trusty old spook). Something about these baits that bass can't stand. Good luck.

I throw a Bass Pro Shops XPS TopKnocker

http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores...0005000_100-5-3

For $4.00 bucks and the results I get, I am very satisfied.
After reading everyone elses responses, I am going to pick up a topknocker in Bone color and give it a try.
