One of my WM rods had a fishing accident. Seems it was caught in a slight conflict between a tree and the boat....rod lost. This one is broken right in the middle. Does anyone know if BPS will replace it? Common sense would say no, but some companies are really eager to go the extra mile now days. Just wanting to know if I should wait till I am in the area or go ahead buy another now. I really liked the rod before I screwed it up! Thanks for the input.

Thanks, sounds like its worth a trip over. The challenge is to get out without buying anything else laugh . Better leave Mrs. Carrigan at home.

Same here, and I can't tell you how many dock shooters I have broken.

I bought my first Wally "Pro-Series" combo a little over a week ago. I think with most items anywhere, if you have the receipt, there shouldn't be a problem at least getting a store credit, if not your money back.

Sorry to hear about the accident with your Wally Combo.

No need for a receipt at BPS for Wally rods. They know they are their rods it says Bass Pro on the rod. Never had a problem exchanging them. thumb

I have done the same for three of my rods. Does anyone know the life expectancy of a rod? I broke two today, but they are over 1 1/2 years old. Broke them battling crappie in some thick brush on Lavon today.

I must have gotten a good batch of Wally Poles. I bought one 4.5 ft, two 5.5' and a nine footer. I piled them into my kayak for at least two years, and consider myself to be a "rough use" customer. I still have all but one of the originals, which I took back to BPS. No questions asked, bang, new rod. Works for me. smile

Me too, set an 11 footer too hard on a catfish and broke it. Stupid fish thought minnows were for kittys, NOT!. Thanks BPS and Wally for standing behind your product.

Guys, I just wanted to post and let ya'll know that I was able to get my broken fishing rod fixed. BPS went out their way to take care of the problem. The service was top notch! I cannot say enough about their response.A#1.

Russell,

Glad you got everything resolved. My "dock/bridge pillar shooter" is a Wally Marshall 5 1/2' per Guy's advice, and my long pole (8 or 9') is a Cabela's set up. I think both places are top notch. I just go to Cabela's more because it's much closer (live about 5 miles South of it near I-35W).

By the way, tell your brother he may have a jig order soon for "stained" waters.

I REALLY LIKE THE WALLY MARSHALL RODS. I LIKE THEM SO GOOD I HAVE 8 OF THEM. 2-5', 2-7', 2-8',AND 2-9'. I HAVE A MIGHTY LITE AND A UNIVERSAL OF EACH.

DURING THE SPAWN THOSE BIG CRAPPIE AND GREEN TRASH FISH BROKE THE TIPS OFF OF 4 RODS IN ONE WK.

TOOK THEM BY BASS PRO SHOP ON THE WAY TO CEDAR CREEK AND THEY REPLACED THEM. NO PROBLEM.

THE OLNY PROBLEM IS I HAVE NEVER GONE IN THERE WITHOUT SPENDING AT LEAST $200.

THAT'S ALL I FISH WITH.
