The ole lady and I got out of the heat last week and went to the upper Rio Grande Valley, 17 miles west of Creede, Co. Frost every morning but one at 10,000'. 1880's log cabin ($60.00/nite) with all bedding and cooking stuff. Here's a few pics.

I think it's calle Angel Falls.

Nice pics. That 3rd pic looks more like a glacial wall than regular snow.

Didn't get the other side of the trail in the picture. It was about 16' on that side and about 6' on the other side. Was cut through with a dozer.

We went through there a couple of times. We always go in August with the exception of this year and I was shocked how much more snow was on the passes and peaks than usual.

was that the jeep trail above rio grande resevoir, heading up to Pole Creek??? love that area above the ranch, there on north clear creek!!
