In competition do you and your partner generally both fish the front deck or do you split--one up front, and one in the back.
For the ones that fish up front, Why ?? Is there an advantage to it ??
I can see it in a narrow cut, but otherwise, don't you get in each others way ??

Depending on what style of fishing were doing we either split and fish on both decks, or both on the front deck.
We even go one step further and take turns on the trolling motor, especially during windy days when its a beat down to stand on the foot control all day.

id say for 95 percent on shallow fishing ill share the front deck.

the only times i dont share is when throwing a carolina rig, deep diving crankbait, or buzzbait.

I usually just let who ever is in the boat with me decide where they want to fish! Most of the time I am flippin and pitchin so we rarely get in each others way!

I have a very large front deck on my boat so that helps too!

Front and back. We split time running the trolling motor.

Stress less, relax more. Go fishing.

Split for me and my partner.... With my bad back I need a seat. My buddy cant stand a seat..... Plus He's never ran a trolling motor before, so I win. Hope he learns quick tho, shur wouldnt mind being able to take a rest every now and then.

Front and back. Person on front needs to keep the boat in position for each angler to have good water to fish.

I'm always in the front and Hunter is in the back, beside me or even sometimes in front of me while I run the trolling motor. He'll only be able to get away with being in front of me a few more years.

Short (flipping and pitching) and shallow, target fishing - both up front to cover targets prior to the spooking fish.

Long Distance (C Rig, DD-22 and Rattletraps etc.) please get in the back!!

I've got a client up front with me 99.9% of the time, it has and will get harry with rattletraps and DD-22's for 10 hours (and the person has never thrown a lure in his and her life...But it's all good!
