Went out to Dunlap last night during the wind storm. Not really sure why I ever go back, but anyways here is my report.

Fish were hard to come by, but the wakeboarders/jet skis/pontoon boats were not. Caught three fish in the pads, all on topwater frogs (horny toad//Snag-Proof frog) and missed a few others. With all the moss/scum everywhere, a frog was just about the only thing you can throw right now.

The scum/snot/junk is floating everywhere, so keep and eye on your water pressure. Not sure why this stuff is all over that lake, but it is pretty nasty stuff.

I did see some crawfish clinging to breakwalls that looked like lobsters. No kidding, these things were 8 inches long. I would think that with as many crawfish I saw, the jig bite would have been better than I experienced.

I haven't fished McQueeney or Placid in years, and I wonder if they have the same scum floating everywhere? Anybody??

Fished Dunlap last night as well. Caught a couple on Culprit Tassel Tail. Fish laughed at my Frogs. Very hard to come by.

we found some cleaner water, deep along the banks that hug the channel. its either feast or famine there sometimes. mostly famine!
