Any one on Ivie saturday and see this thing land on the lake near the dam? I saw this huge plane on the horizon getting closer and closer to the water. It was coming rights towards me. I thought holy !!!! capt sulley was at it again. It hit the water about 100 yards beside me and ended up near the dam. Not sure if it was a training mission or if something was going on. It was cool to see after I realized it was't crashing. Anyone hear anything about this?

The wife and I were in Turkey Bend and thaught it was going to land there first, then went back up came around and landed by the dam. Pretty neat to watch even though we missed it actually landing. At first I thaught it was one of the fire fighting planes coming to pick up water.

I DID DRINK A FEW AFTERWARDS!! I'M NOT KIDDING, THAT PLANE WAS CLOSE! NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THAT- GUESS IT WAS SOME TYPE OF TRAINING.

When we used to fish Truman the Apache gunships from Whiteman were all over the place. The gun turrets point in the direction the pilot looks, and it was unnerving to see those big guns pointing at and sometimes following us. Then they had these little helicopters with radar on them that hid behind islands and in coves and would pop up right next to us and scare me half to death.

We have A-10's here at T-Bend that are pretty exciting - just ask K.P.!

Had many A-10s fly right over us on TBend, I remember when i was younger A-10s bearing down on us. I was just thinking I hope this guy isn't crazy. I also remember F-4s flying over the tree tops on Tbend. That was wicked.... and loud.

I was there and saw it heading towards the water didn't see actual landing but just the noise it made was cool. It was way cooler than the fishing that day. I don't see where people are getting their reports from bc that is a tough lake to fish right now. Its hot but just bc the sun beats down on you all day not bc the fish are biting LOL!!

I heard a rumor that there was a 13lber caught Saturday. Actually my fishing partner that has a trailer there called and told me. Has anyone else heard this? Or maybe Jerry can tell us.

It was posted on another site the fish was 13.01 it was a nice chunk.It was caught on a black and blue senko.

There was a 13.1 caught yesterday afternoon. I talked with some people that visited with the pilot of the plane. My understanding is that it was a private plane they haven`t changed the markings yet.

Woulda loved to see those F-4's flying by!!

Saw a float plane doing touch and go's on Lake Bob Sandlin last weekend. I don't think it was Coast Guard though.

My family had a camp on Toledo Bend when I was younger. My dad worked at Fort Polk running all their maintenance from 81-92. He knew lots of those guys out of Alexandria as well. We had our camp close to Kite's Landing. We would go out in the middle of the lake and those guys would do a close to water fly by for me and Dad. Dad would set it up every year around my birthday in May. So, if you saw A-10's flying REALLY close to water in the middle of the lake around May you can thank my dad!

There was a F-22 Raptor in the area about a year ago that hit the sound barrier like three times and then did a banked turn that I swear threw up mist from the middle of the lake! That was a friend of our family in that plane. I can't tell you his name or I would have to shoot you all. I will say he was in southern US for some air shows!! hehehe
