Headed down to Port O'connor this weekend to fish in a charity fishing tourney. Any advice on what to use for different types of fish and how to fish it. Greg Yackel is going to be our guide if anyone knows him. Thanks in advance for any advice!

ill be down there too, i would use gulp alive, 3in new penny shrimp, and off shore cut bait, ribbonfish, anything they sell at the baitshops down there, go to the speedy stop and ask what they are hitting and buy that.

Most likely your guide will be able to direct on what and how. I haven't been down in a few weeks so I'm hitting it cold this weekend.

well pretty good report...went down and pretty much stayed in west matagorda bay! Biggest fish was a 40in, 23lb jack crevalle which put up a HECK of a fight. Also caught alot of sharks, very few trout(was suprised about that), skipjack, gaftop, even a few dogfish thrown in there. All in all had a great day just being out catching fish.
