Would it be wrong to use a goose for bait, if it kept attacking you and your dog while your fishing?

LOL. Holy Cr@p, that goose is nuts! I can't believe that dog let it get away with that.

Self defense by lethal force, with video evidence.

A cousin of mine got his ear ripped up pretty good by a goose when he was little.

Geese can get really mean and attack people. This would not happen with my 135 lb yellow lab. He would have put her at my feet. He has a bad habit of retreiving chickens also. I had to buy 8 chickens once and did not get to eat them but I was lucky they didn't shoot him.

Geese can get very territorial and pretty pugnacious.
Once while tubing I watched a novice bank fisherman harrass a goose and his gander while she was on her nest.
The goose finally chased the guy away, but while the fisherman thought it was over the goose was just getting enough distance to get airborne!
The goose made two big circles and then while the guy was walking away down he bank the goose got himself lined up and started his attack run.
The doofus was completely unaware of the incoming bandit and it took his friends yelling at him to watch out to get him to look around.
When he looked up and saw the incoming bird he started screaming like a little girl and started frantically waiving his arms over his head while running flat out down the bank...much to the amusement of everyone watching. That darn goose chased him up the hill, across the parking lot and twice around the permit/concessions stand before finally figuring that the guy had had enough.

We moderns have so much of the world under our control that it's easy to forget that wild animals can be, er, wild.

The November 2008 issue of Sports Illustrated Magazine has an article about a young geologist who was killed by wolves near an airfield in Canada. This happened a couple days after the wolves had nearly attacked two aviation mechanics. The wolves were later killed, and pieces of the man's jacked were found in one of the stomachs.

It's a good thing that geese don't have fangs, horns, or claws.
