My lake has two age groups of shad...one is 3-5", the other 1-2"...I'm going to take my minnow bucket and use a piece of iron to pulverize a bunch of those small shad...then put them in a gallon milk jug with holes punched in the bottom. I'll tie this to my boat when drift fishing or tie it under a float to chum a spot....so what do you think of that?

We'll take a few and smash them up and broadcast them in our fishing hole when we're still fishing in winter time. I'll chunk them up and toss a few chunks out every once in a while too.

I used also but did not have much luck. You could just use a couple rocks and smash them together.
