I agree 100%....i was the same way a few years back...i never threw anything but a T-rig, C-Rig, and shakeyhead...but now i am catching bigger and more fish on crankbaits alone. I believe they are extremely versatile....as well as spinnerbaits. I have 4 rods with 4 different cranks on at all times. Wake, 2-5 ft squarebill for around docks, 5-9 for those in between bites, and DD22 or DT 20 for those deep points and humps. If needed i can also C-rig the crankbait to get it deeper. I use both suspending and floating depending on the cover and how active the fish are. Caught fish all day last Thurs at Eagle Mountain using nothing but crankbaits (most around docks and rocks). Nice post though. Good to see I am still an oddball! I like to throw what nobody else is!

I mostly agree but there are limitations to crank baits and situations where you need something more subtle.

Is that cause you get all the TD inside tips, or is that from personal experience or both??? LOL

Texas rig has easily run away with it? But the crank bait as one of the most hated?????? hmmm Just reel it in, may be it is just over thinking of the technique. I never would have guessed.

I would pick t-rig even though I have probably caught more fish on the wacky rig.
