Fished Wednesday afternoon three hours and caught alot of fish. Took a buddy from work it was his first time on the lake and he had a ball that was the most fish he had ever caught. We fished timber in 20 to 35 feet of water about 15 to 18 feet deep and ended up cleaning 37 nice crappie. It seems like you can go just about anywhere and catch fish on this lake I really think this is the best lake in Texas for summertime fishing.

Man I miss fishing that lake....it's definitely pretty hard to beat for crappie, I sure wish it wasn't 45 min-hour away from me (damn gas prices). When was the last time you hit Lewisville man? That's about the only lake I can afford to fish on these days. fish

Crappie Terrorist, I went to Lewisville yesterday and twice last week. The fishing is pretty steady. I have been catching fish from 12 to 19 feet deep. The deeper structure is holding fish, timber and condos/brush piles. I have not been catching more than 5 fish per spot, but 1 out of 2 or 3 spots have been holding at least one fish. The majority have been keepers.

The best day (3 hours of crappie fishing) 25 fish, 18 keepers.

That is about the same luck as I've been having lately....alotta work and tough fishing *moving* to get a limit of keepers at LL. I'll be out there again in the morning unless some freak storm blows up and screws things up. Good luck on your trip this afternoon....hope the weather cooperates for u guys.

1. Look for isolated trees in 20-30' of water, don't fish in the middle of a "forest". Brush piles get a lot of pressure.
2. Preference on Cedar Trees but plan on breaking off a lot.
3. Fish will be suspended between 15 - 22' right now.
4. Med size minnows or 1/16 oz jigs but minnows are easier for the less experienced.
5. All the arms at the north end of the lake including isle dubois, wolf, indian, lick and walnut are good.
6. Don't stay on any one tree more than 5 minutes if you haven't had a bite.
7. Crappie nibbles can only help.
8. Be careful not to disturb the tree when (if) you tie off to it.
9. Last (and most important), find a way to make sure you get to the exact same depth EVERY time once you find where they are suspended on a tree. On a given tree, the fish will all generally stratify at about the same depth.
10. Listen to Paul.
