how did you boys get so  I think I just figured out something  . We cant catch any fish cuz they are too busy laughing at us

hey vip, found a school by bridge fri morn. till some fools with big motor on ran them off. only caught 9 or 10 but thats better than zippo and i have done that b4 also

What length and weight rods are you guy's using when slabbing with the 1 oz and 2 oz slabs. Med or Med Light, 6.6 or 7 feet?

What is the deal on Hubbard these days? Haven't really been able to catch anything since July 5th. I have had good days and bad but never bad days for 3 weeks consecutively.
I have marked fish but cant get them to bite. It is pishing me off! I typically go every Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday morning and evening, Monday evening and maybe a day in between so it is not for a lack of effort. I am hitting structure and humps - not looking for them to be splashing so much cause I haven't seen them do that for awhile. Has Hubbard died for the summer? They are on strike(waiting on the stimulus check)..LOL.. JK

What length and weight rods are you guy's using when slabbing with the 1 oz and 2 oz slabs. Med or Med Light, 6.6 or 7 feet? I use either 6.6 or 7ft rods, mostly 7 ft'ers though. With slabbing I actually prefer the MH rods. I like them to be fairly stiff with a sensitive feel. Good luck.

MH rods. i dont like mine too terribly long. 6 to 6.5ft is what i got.

Did really good again today! Several keeper hybrids! Lots of fun. Weather was beautiful! Finally saw some top water. Ahhh - it had been awhile! Love catchin me some fish!
I do enjoy a good Squirt now and then.

I have had great luck 5 of the last 6 mornings that i've went. I fish robertson park area and the jetty area. I bet some people out ther run out 60 dollars in gas by lunch time. Seems like all they do is drive around

Take the caps off. Hard to read and it's considered yelling on the net. Pretty standard on net forums.
Some days I stay put and then others I run around a bit more, especially if I have my 5 yo on with me.

Only a suggestion, not yelling any demands. LOL!
On another note...Hubbard got pounded with rain this morning around 6:10am. I had my son with me in the truck on the I30 bridge and had to pull over the rain was so bad. No vision at all.

I hope the lake settles down by Saturday morning. I have a friend from high school who lives in Garland but works in Africa that Iam taking out and this is his first fishing trip ever. I hope to find some fish early before all of the jet boats get out there.
His son is also going and they do not care what size fish they are, they just want to feel a tug on the end of their line.
