What is the deal on Hubbard these days? Haven't really been able to catch anything since July 5th. I have had good days and bad but never bad days for 3 weeks consecutively.

I have marked fish but cant get them to bite. It is pishing me off! I typically go every Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday morning and evening, Monday evening and maybe a day in between so it is not for a lack of effort. I am hitting structure and humps - not looking for them to be splashing so much cause I haven't seen them do that for awhile. Has Hubbard died for the summer?

When do you usually go SkeeterRonnie? Morning or evenings? What kind of boat are you in? I have tried everything in my arsenol. Big slabs, little slabs, humdingers, rattle traps, prunepickers, etc. Everything!!

I know I should just hire JV and all my questions will be answered. Maybe that is what I'll do.

Any other suggestions by all you Master Anglers?

My wife and I went to RH around noon Weds, and caught fish at all the usual places. None were on top, but the bite was consistent, if not spectacular.

We did notice, that although the whites and small hybrids were relating to humps, they were mostly just downwind of them, and would only hit once you drifted over the hump.

Chrome 1 oz slabs were what they wanted the most. Wouldn't hit anything bigger, or chartreuse. I double rigged my wife's line (Thanks to Moe's and JV for that tip), and she caught several doubles.

We had pretty good luck this morning early near peanut when they came up. We did boat over to Red Barn & Yankee, but nothing happening. Caught a few off the point between Red Barn & Power Plant later. Not much luck using slabs when they were not on the surface.

This morning very slow for me until 10:30. Started out at the peanut then the red barn area-point with no luck. So I just looked some more. Finally found fish on top around the Iron Horse for about an anhour and a half. Then the kids wanted to go swimming. So we went and then on the way to the middle of the lake. Found a big school of top water fish. With some good size sandys in the mix. Not a bad day all in all.
