Lake Lewisville is driving me crazy, was out there with my wife at 7.30am, do you realize how hard that was to start with, getting her up at 6.00am. She got up and made sandwiches, fruit and snacks and the only thing nibbling on the lake was us. But being out there this morning was well worth it, what a beautiful morning.
We started near Tower bay, went to the dam, the cut and all the normal haunts, had some top action at the Gravel pits for about 40 seconds. Found some really good shows on the Lowrance, some big fish down at 30-35 feet, but they would not take any type of bait.
When it started to get really hot we headed in and saw only a couple of boats fishing, I think everyone who was out early had given up.
will try again next week some time, maybe it is time to head to Ray Roberts and try our luck up there.
Let us know if anyone had any joy out there today.

You had the right idea, only the wrong time. Try the moonlight serenade route and you might get lucky...

GV was tough this AM for us as well...caught a few LMB and a few sandies but not all that many.
Yesterday on GV was a different story...big schools of surfacing sandies in several areas.
We did not bother to try and keep count...but it was sure fun...

If you dont score with the fish, you can always hit the TFF lunch at SP's. I want to fish Sunday night but gonna switch gears to hit the lunch.

Talked to a group at the dock, 4 boats and about 20 people, they said the fish were biting yesterday, I said "That was yesterday, not today".

I went this evening also and man was it a rough day. Hadn't had a day like this on lewisville in a while. Couldn't get a bite for nothing. Talked to a few people and they too didn't get or have any action. Marked fish but they didn't bite live bait or lures.oh well, its Time to rest a while and get the poles cleaned and greased up.

I was out Thursday, caught 118 w/11 Legal hybrids. All on slabs. Went out Friday and caught 52, no hybrids, and really had to work for them. Had to chase alot of schooling fish. What a beating. I don't know why the lake is so inconsistent...

Was suppose to fish with some buddies but could not manage going this week since I had my kids this weekend. So I took the little dude for some warm up fishing before I take him to the coast.I was on the lake at 6am and off by 10 am. Found fish early and found big fish. I used 2 oz slabs and my little dude used 1.5 oz. Zman boated 2 hybrids one legal one short and I boated 7 with two short 5 legals. Lost 3 because of double hook ups. Nothing over 8 pounds. With magnum sandies mixed in. I dont own a clicker but will say it was non stop for a good 2 hours. I wont tell you where but I will say they are stacked at 15-25 ft . And all fish were slabbed up did not mess with the dink show on top.
