Dang circlehook, no need to get all bent out of shape. We were just telling you that you could be the state record holder with the fish you caught.
Especially since it seems like holding a state record is a big deal to you according to your shindig thread....

yea. Calm down. All I said was " Good size gafftops...State record is just over 13 lbs." and that's what I meant.
If I'd thought you were lying I'd have said that too.

I would catch them 5 to 8 lb at Gillcrest all the time. There all head not much meat.

Thats a great report any day.
I used to fish Galveston one weekend a year with boy scouts back in the 70s. It was a pier across from the then open Sea Arama. Those were fun days at Galveston always. We mainly caught Hardheads and Drum,using shrimp and squid.
