looking for someone to repair or replace my lower unit something came lose and knocked hole in side casing dont know extent of damage yet

what happened is you chipped a gear and the piece became lodged between the pinion and one or more of the other gears , with no place to go it pushes out the side of the gearcase, usually it trashes all the gears so those have to be replaced and it depends on the extent of damage to the housing as to wheather it has to be replaced, thats the minimum if your lucky amount of damage, of course bearings ,driveshaft, and clutch dog will all have to be looked at,and all new seals will be in order, lol
