 Where to eat in Athens?

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to eat in Athens? We are heading down Friday and staying the night to go to the fisheries center on Saturday.

The marina is good. Mcallister's Deli isn't bad.

Check out the Marina restaurant by the Fisheries center. Agreed. Great food! Great burgers and "hamburger steak" among other things. Have eaten there many times when fishing at Athens or when I'm in the area to attend TPWD meetings.

Frisco--was just there last month. Marina is great. There are some good little mexican food joints there too. The only way to go is to walk into one that you would not normally go in to. The steak house there is terrible. Don't go!! All other chains are just ok in my book.

Ate at the marina and the kids loved the "help yourself beans". I had the catfish and the wife had a burger that looked good.
