Any of you guys ever eat up at The Tomato in Denton, before it moved?
Just across from UNT, in the Fry Street area? The pizza was really, really delicious. You could order a "custom" slice which was a huge, thick rectangular slice of pizza they'd make separate, and you could get all the toppings you'd want on it. I'd usually order two with pepperoni, Italian Sausage, Pineapple, Jalapenos, and extra cheese....GREATNESS.
Sadly, their very historic building has long since been demolished by greedy land developers to make room for some kind of BS "Upscale" strip mall.
The worst part? They demolished the building years ago, and STILL haven't put anything else in! Just a muddy, fenced off field where the best pizza around used to be.
Anyone else ever go there? Has anyone tried the new location? I heard they moved, but have no idea where they went, if it was as good, or if it's still there. Cheap beer, good pizza, and college girls everywhere. I LOVED that place. Only thing worth keeping Denton around for.

Sal's Pizza on Wycliff in Dallas is the best pizza in Dallas. For the $ Sal's can't be beat. Grimaldi's is better but $$-er too.
