Thanks, Bert. Definately a toad of a river largemouth. She inhaled Gavin's fakeage tight to cover and gave him a pretty good tussle while he did what he could to steer her out of the slop. However, it did pull him around a bit. I was down the bank from him when he hooked up and heard her break water the first time. There was no doubt it was a big fish. Since Gavin's fish was hooked in water considerably more shallow that your big largemouth, he did not get pulled around quite as much as you did. Hopefully, Dan can find some comfort in the fact that I know where she hangs out  . I'll pass along the kudos to Gavin.

Have to keep the handling at a minimum for a healthy CPR'r.
We were gunning for a C&R State Record, which is for length only, so no weight was taken.
However, I would estimate it just shy of the longstanding Brazos River Water Body Record of 9# plus.
