victoria has a new flyfishing club, and in the club we are having a one fly event on coleto "creek",
and i have no idea on what single fly to pick
in the event there are two man teams competing for the most fish caught not largest...
any advise please!

I'm going to vote for the ubiquitous bead head woolly bugger in a color and size appropriate to the spot where you'll be fishing. Nothing looks like everything as much as a bugger and the bead head allows it to get relatively deep, if necessary. I know that's controversial, but that's my vote.

In a creek like that I would go with a cats whiskers in a size 10.
 It's more than the catfish would do.

any advise please! Tie this fly on a #2 or 4 jig hook, leaving the swivel free to revolve on hook shaft like a in-line spinner and it will catch any fish that swims.

George that fly is just incredible looking...WOW. I love your flies!!
VHS, I'd say a bead head black bugger with a little flash in it would work awesome...or as derik said a cat's whisker would be another top choice...I have done well in creek fishing on a small mickey finn made of calf tail also.
