get a black light and use clear mono.you can see your line where it enters the water and will not effect the fish

We use 2 of the floating head light and keep them a couple of feet apart, also sink a couple of the green lights from academy, the green lights are not very durable, only last a couple of trips, I am going to silicone all the seams on the next ones to see if that helps

I bought these underwater lights at Academy, but the exact price escapes me....30 bucks for both, maybe? Either way, they do attract the baitfish, which in turn attract the crappie. Something to look into as opposed to 100+ bucks. Thought I would share!

Thanks!!! I've gathered some good info here. I have the lights for "in the boat" handled...and was just getting ideas for the underwater lights. From June-Sept I'll be night fishing...lolol

some heat if you can carry...there are crazies out there at night looking for easy targets.
